All children deserve to have a happy childhood, where they can experience, learn and explore the world through their own senses. When we can see, it is easy to take vision for granted; however, a happy sighted childhood is not guaranteed! Tragically, be it through accidents or congenital problems, many preventable visual impairments have deprived this right from youngsters who lived in the rural low-income countries with unavailable or scarce quality ophthalmologic clinic, especially pediatric ophthalmology. It is certainly a blessing and a most life-changing deed to be able to help restore the vision of someone who cannot see, especially that of a child!
