Revenue: Accelerate growth and leverage resources for improved eye health

Goal 3: Orbis is an organization with diverse and multi-year institutional funding.

We will increase our ability to secure and manage large-scale, multi-year restricted funding from bilateral and multilateral organizations to expand our work and impact opportunities. This will require us to strengthen our partnership engagement and business development capabilities, upgrade our grants and program management models, and standardize our internal operating systems to fulfill funder reporting and learning requirements.

Over the next five years we will:

• Seek new opportunities for growth and business partnerships: We will explore more multi-sectoral funding opportunities, which is critical given the shift in donor priorities towards more integrated, rather than vertical, health programing. Identifying new areas of work, building on existing approaches, and advancing business cases for adjacencies are all crucial pathways to align with broader funder and governmental priorities.

• Develop a more integrated approach to donor engagement: We will better integrate our donor engagement strategy to improve intradepartmental collaboration in providing donor stewardship and fundraising. This will include forecasting funding opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and sharing knowledge on successful donor engagement events and activities.
